Invisalign uses the latest advances in 3-D computer technology. It involves using a small optical wand to scan the inside of the mouth and teeth to capture pictures and create a 3D model of the teeth and gums. From this 3d model custom made clear trays (aligners) are created which gradually remove your teeth into the desired position. Unlike traditional orthodontics, there are no wires or brackets.
The aligners are placed onto the teeth and they are taken out to eat, drink and brush your teeth. They need to be worn for 22 hours per day.
New aligners are changed every 2-8 weeks depending the individual case. Once you have completed Invisalign Go which can be anywhere between 4 to 10 months you will need to wear retainers full time for 22 hours per day for 6 months and after 6 months you will need to wear your retainers every night.
